I ran the Phoenix 10K last Sunday. I have been attempting to train for the PF Chang's half marathon. (My sister will be running this with me in January.) I have been slacking so I signed up for this race. It actually went really well considering that the longest distance I had ran was 4 miles. My official time was 1:02.49. That is around a 10 minute mile pace. The first 3 miles were good, then I got nervous and let my head get in the way thinking that I may run out of energy so I slowed down. The 4th and 5th mile I slowed down and then picked it back up on the 6th. After running 6.2 miles, 3-4 miles seems like nothing now. My next run is the Anthem Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. It is another 10K. After running that I can eat all the noodles I want. (My Grandma Gladys's homemade receipe of course. That is actually the only thing I know how to cook, from scratch. lol!) Here are some pictures. They are small because I took them off of a website. Not sure if I want to spend money on them. So wish me luck on running. (Yes, I always look down when I run.)
